How to Make a Ghost Boot Disk

Step 1
Install the Norton Ghost software.
Step 2
Start the software and choose "File – Create Recovery Disk".
Step 3
Insert the recovery disk into the CD/DVD drive. This should come with the software. If you downloaded the software, you may want to burn the image to a disk to use in this Step.
Step 4
Click "Next" once the CD has been found by Norton Ghost.
Step 5
Click "Automatic (Recommended)". Unless you’re an experienced user, this is the best option to choose.
Step 6
Click "Next" and wait for files to be copied to a temporary location.
Step 7
Insert a blank disk when prompted. Wait for the files to burn and click "Finish" when complete.
Step 8
Store the disk in a safe location.
